MUNIST 2025: Our Theme and its Relevance
Our theme at MUNIST this year is “Addressing global challenges through collaboration and innovation”, a key strategy that has successfully tackled several world issues in the past through UN-led strategies.

MUNIST Day 2: The Committees
Day 2 of MUNIST 2025 saw delegates returning, eager to continue onto their second debate topics. In this blog, we’ll dive into each of the six MUNIST 2025 committees; what they are debating and why their presence at MUNIST 2025 is valued in relation to our theme, “Addressing Global Challenges Through Collaboration and Innovation”.
MUNIST 2025 Opening Ceremony: Addressing global challenges through collaboration and innovation
For the very first time at the International School of Toulouse, delegates, students, and teachers have gathered for the MUNIST conference of 2025. The theme, “Addressing Global Challenges Through Collaboration and Innovation”, gives room for delegates to debate a wide range of topics; including, but not limited to, technological and healthcare-related debates, conflict escalations, and issues related to human rights.
MUNIST Day 1: Outside Perspectives
After MUNIST 2025’s opening ceremony, delegates grouped together and headed to their committees - Security Council, UNHRC, UNICEF, ECOSOC, DISEC and WHO. Delegates, prepared with draft resolutions, dove into lobbying and co-signing each other’s resolutions for their first committee topics. Soon after, debating began; suggesting amendments to each other’s resolutions, making speeches both for and against each other, and ultimately aiming to achieve their assigned countries’ aims. Delegates debated a wide range of humanitarian and security-based topics such as technological interference in electoral processes, online privacy, and the legalisation of abortion for minors.

MUNIST Day 3: The Closing Ceremony
The final day of MUNIST saw delegates round off their topics in their committees, continuing to debate diplomatically right through to the end. Delegates described their experience at MUNIST 2025 as exciting, eye-opening and entertaining as well as challenging and intense.
